Chapter (16) sūrat l-naḥl (The Bees)

Sahih International: So they were struck by the evil consequences of what they did and were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

Pickthall: So that the evils of what they did smote them, and that which they used to mock surrounded them.

Yusuf Ali: But the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that very (Wrath) at which they had scoffed hemmed them in.

Shakir: So the evil (consequences) of what they did shall afflict them and that which they mocked shall encompass them.

Muhammad Sarwar: The evil consequences of their deeds afflicted them and they were surrounded by what they had mocked.

Mohsin Khan: Then, the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that at which they used to mock surrounded them.

Arberry: So the evil things that they wrought. smote them, and they were encompassed by that they mocked at.
