The triliteral root rā jīm mīm (ر ج م) occurs 14 times in the Quran, in five derived forms:

  • five times as the form I verb rajam (رَجَمْ)
  • once as the noun rajm (رَجْم)
  • once as the noun rujūm (رُجُوم)
  • six times as the nominal rajīm (رَجِيم)
  • once as the passive participle marjūmīn (مَرْجُومِين)
