The triliteral root ghayn sīn qāf (غ س ق) occurs four times in the Quran, in three derived forms:

  • twice as the noun ghassāq (غَسَّاق)
  • once as the noun ghasaq (غَسَق)
  • once as the active participle ghāsiq (غَاسِق)
