The triliteral root khā ṣād ṣād (خ ص ص) occurs four times in the Quran, in three derived forms:

  • twice as the form VIII verb yakhtaṣṣu (يَخْتَصُّ)
  • once as the noun khāṣṣat (خَآصَّة)
  • once as the noun khaṣāṣat (خَصَاصَة)
