The triliteral root qāf dāl wāw (ق د و) occurs twice in the Quran, in two derived forms:

  • once as the form VIII verb iq'tadih (ٱقْتَدِهْ)
  • once as the form VIII active participle muq'tadūn (مُّقْتَدُون)

(43:23:21) muq'tadūna(are) following إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ مُقْتَدُونَ
