Chapter (88) sūrat l-ghāshiyah (The Overwhelming)

قوله «وجوه» مبتدأ، وجاز الابتداء بالنكرة؛ لأنها وصفت، «يومئذ» «يوم» ظرف متعلق بـ«خاشعة»، وهو نعت لـ«وجوه»، «إذٍ» اسم ظرفي مضاف إليه، والتنوين عوض من جملة مدلول عليها باسم الفاعل من «الغاشية» تقديره: يوم إذ غشيت الناس.
