جملة الشرط مستأنفة، جملة «قيل» مضاف إليه، ونائب فاعل «قيل» ضمير المصدر. «ماذا» «ما» اسم استفهام مبتدأ، «ذا» اسم موصول خبر، «أساطير» خبر لمبتدأ محذوف تقديره هي، وجملة «هي أساطير» مقول القول.
